By making a booking and leaving a deposit you agree to comply with the terms and conditions of hiring The Game Room and its facilities operated by Your Ideas Youth and Community Project outlined in our Booking Policy and viewable on our booking page.
Please note:
The Game Room stores age related games on disc (available on request) and games preinstalled on our devices (although a large proportion of games are all age appropriate). All consent for age related gaming is the full responsibility of the booker for children under 18. The Game Room is a self hiring space and as such Your Ideas takes no responsibility to obtain consent for the above mentioned.
By booking The Game Room you agree that you will inform your guests of our booking policy contents as well as seek all necessary consents for your guests.

FAQS
How do I clear my balance? All bookings will recieve an email titled "The Game Room - Booking Balance" once a deposit has been placed. If you can not find this email please search the title of the email before contacting us. Please read this email that contains instructions on how to clear your balance.
Can I arrive early so I can set up decorations or food? No. You must only arrive at your bookings start time. We do not permit any early entry and as such you must stagger your party start time with your guests if you wish to use some of your booking slot to setup your own table decorations/ free standing decorations or prepare food etc. This is non negotiable.
Can I order takeaway food to the venue? Yes. You are welcome to order takeaway delivery to our venue and many guests do. We take no responsibility for the late arrival of any take away food and we will not extend your bookings end time if things are running late.
Can I pay in installments for my booking? No. We do not accept part payments or installments. You pay a £50 deposit when you book and this is taken off your final balance. The final balance payment must be made in one full payment. This is non negotiable.
Can I book a stag party or 40th birthday party? etc.. Yes! Please contact us first before making a booking as we have limited late night bookings available. Please contact our email address - office@yourideas.org.uk to make an enquiry.
Can I add an extra 1 or 2 guests onto my party? Yes. We do permit 1 or 2 guests onto a standard package booking at £12.50 per head. This is on the understanding that The Game Room is best suited for 15 guests at one time. Any larger parties will require you to book the sports hall add-on.
Does the kitchen have an oven, microwave, cups plates and can I use them during the party? Yes! You are welcome to use the kitchen and its facilities how you please, as long as everything is returned cleaned and how you found it. This is a normal working kitchen with all items you would expect, including a 'Domo' counter top pizza cooker and Ninja Double Airfryer. Please note we do not provide any food or drink items such as tea, coffee etc.
Is there a staff member there at the venue during my booking? Yes of course :)! Although The Game Room is a private and self hire service, we have a member of staff available on site at all times to assist you if you need any help with the operation of our equipment.
Can parents of the guests stay? We do not permit excessive amount of adults in childrens party bookings. You must only bring immediate family who are there to supervise the children in our spaces. We will refuse entry to parties who exploit this rule. Our parties are for our game playing guests. As such only a nessisary amount of supervising adults must be on site. This is so that our rooms are not over crowded and that those who are in invited to use our facilites are able to freely.
Can you fit a bouncy castle in the sports hall and do you provide one? We do not provide inflatables, however you are welcome to contact other companies to hire small bouncy castles/disco eqiuipment. You must inform the compnay that our sports hall is located upstairs. The Sports Hall size is as follows: 9ft H x 26ft W x 37ft L All equipment hired can only be dropped off at your bookings start time and must be removed ready for your parties end time. We have bookings before and after each booking therefore you must leave on time. Failure to leave at your end time will result in an additional compensation charge.
I don't want my child to play [insert game] at a party at The Game Room. The person booking the party is responsible for inviting guests with the appropriate consents and to monitor their guests in The Game Room during their stay. This includes what games are being played. Many of our games are suitable for all children such as Minecraft, Mario etc. However some games are aged rated such as Fortnite (12+). The Game Room takes no responsibility for parental preferences or the monitoring of the use of our games in The Game Room by any guests who are invited.
